John Warwicker

DESIGNER, VISUAL LANGUAGE

John Warwicker is co-founder of multi-disciplinary design and film collective Tomato, a worldwide group of directors, designers, artists, writers, producers and composers who develop commercial, artistic and research-based cross-platform projects. He is Designer of Visual Language for the inaugural Melbourne Biennial Lab.

John has extensive experience and belief in the alchemic power of graphic design. His work is underpinned by a spirit of continuous and restless enquiry, bound together by one question – What if?

Between 2012–14 John was professor of design at Monash Art, Design & Architecture (MADA) in Melbourne. Since 2012 he has been Visiting Professor at Zokei University, Tokyo, and since 2004 a member of the Tokyo Type Directors Club.
